(Prague, 20 December 2023) The aim of the Czech Trade Inspection Authority’s inspection of 128 bazaars and pawnshops between 28 April and 31 October 2023 was to monitor the compliance of operators with the obligations arising from Act No. 253/2008 Coll., on Selected Measures against Legitimisation of Proceeds of Crime and Financing of Terrorism, Act No. 247/2006 Coll., on Restrictions of Night Operations of Pawnshops and Other Establishments, Act No. 634/1992 Coll., on Consumer Protection, and other generally binding legislation. Infringements were found in 69 cases (53.91%).
